CLO FOUNDATION SPREADS “STREET LOVE” IN UTAKO MARKET ON VALENTINE’S DAY

In a vibrant display of community spirit and compassion, the Clo Foundation brought smiles, food, and goodwill to traders and passersby at Utako Market yesterday during its “Street Love” outreach, marking Valentine’s Day with an emphasis on unity and kindness.

Organisers from the humanitarian organisation, led by the Director of Welfare; Ms Love Ifeyinwa Onwuka, arrived at the bustling market in the early afternoon, distributing hot meals, beverages, and care packages to hundreds of residents, market women and men, motor park workers, and shoppers. The event was designed to celebrate love in the street with the general public;  focusing on fellowship, solidarity, and shared humanity.

“With Street Love, we wanted to remind everyone that Valentine’s Day is not just for couples but for every person who makes our communities thrive,” The Founder, Amb Queen Chioma Lynda Onwuka said. “Love takes many forms; caring for your neighbour, sharing a meal, offering a kind word and today we chose Utako Market to celebrate that truth.”

The atmosphere at the market was lively, with beneficiaries expressing appreciation for the outreach. One trader, who asked not to be named, said the initiative brought encouragement to many who face daily Hunger pressures. “This was unexpected and beautiful,” she said. “It made today special for everyone here.”

Mr Samuel Abidemi Akinboboye, Miss Fatima Ileigo Yusuf, Ms Peter Lovelyn Ohotu, Mr Adeola Peter Adeyemo and Mr Christian Okechukwu Volunteered through aisles of stalls handing out food, drinks, and Valentine-themed tokens, engaging in conversations about hope and community support.

The Head Of Mission; Mr Michael Legend Babalola emphasized that Clo Foundation has become known for grassroots programmes aimed at empowering vulnerable populations in Nigerian cities; Street Love is part of a broader commitment to community outreach that prioritises dignity, human connection, and social care.
